A Review on Vector Borne Disease Transmission: Current Strategies of Mosquito Vector Control

نویسندگان

چکیده

.In this review, the mosquito vector borne diseases (VBD) majorly malaria, dengue, filariasis, chikungunya, Japanese encephalitis, Zika were presented to comprehend global disease incidence as control of these transmitting vectors are challengeable globally nowadays. It has been found that malaria affects nearly 500 million people and lymphatic filariasis about 100 worldwide every year. About 25 infected by with approximately 25,000 deaths annually. For larval adult measures, synthetic pesticides playing major role but owing resistance development its application is impeded. Alternatively, bacterial biopesticides very useful for mainly due environment friendliness lack development. As now, Bacillus sphaericus (Bs) B. thuringiensis israelensis (Bti) in use Bs nowadays not recommended field resistance. Significant results on noticed India, Brazil France. Due situations, there a growing interest discovering novel biological agents from natural sources. In present current scenario VBDs discussed.

Non-Vector Transmission of Dengue and Other Mosquito-Borne Flaviviruses¶

A number of mosquito-borne viruses in the family Flaviviridae, genus Flavivirus, cause significant illnesses in humans. These diseases include dengue, yellow fever, West Nile fever, Japanese encephalitis, St. Louis encephalitis and Murray Valley encephalitis. The viruses cause syndromes that can be generally classified as one of three types: haemorrhagic fever, fever with rash and arthralgia, a...

Control and Management of Vector-Borne Diseases in Disaster Conditions

Disasters are a set of unexpected situations that occur as a result of natural misadventure or human manipulations. Depending on the type, time, and location of the events, the insect population causing vector-borne diseases is affected, which may eventually lead to widespread epidemics. Parasitic diseases such as malaria, leishmaniosis, arboviral diseases such as dengue fever, West Nile enceph...

The Interaction between Vector Life History and Short Vector Life in Vector-Borne Disease Transmission and Control

Epidemiological modelling has a vital role to play in policy planning and prediction for the control of vectors, and hence the subsequent control of vector-borne diseases. To decide between competing policies requires models that can generate accurate predictions, which in turn requires accurate knowledge of vector natural histories. Here we highlight the importance of the distribution of times...

Elimination of vector-borne transmission of Chagas disease.

The control of the vector-borne transmission of Chagas disease in Brazil was organized as a national program in 1975, when two large entomological and sero-epidemiological surveys were conducted in the country in order to identify areas at highest risk of transmission and to guide interventions regarding the chemical treatment of domestic vectors of the disease. The authors present the baseline...
